About Us

John Bennati

I graduated from the Australian Academy of Remedial Therapists and began working in my own clinic as a Remedial Massage Therapist in 1996. I have a Certificate in Chris Lewins Deep Muscle, Tendon and Ligament Therapy and have taught Therapeutic and Remedial Massage at The Parramatta College. I have worked with a number of different professionals and my workplace experiences have included:

Working at: Homebush Bay Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre

I have 15 years in preventative and therapeutic care including hands-on experience at the Sydney Sports Medicine Centre and initiating the first Registered Training Organisation specialising in Muscular Corrective Therapy.

4 years with an Osteopath.

After working at the Homebush Bay Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre with various athletes;  I saw a need in our community for corrective treatment.  My goal is to have Muscle Doctor™ all over Australia providing people with the choice of this new, in depth and highly effective treatment.  As trainers Rebecca and I are dedicated to providing our students with everything they will need to become proficient therapists and give them on-going education and support.

I have a passion in working with chronic muscular pain and this has lead me to develop my own modality called Muscular Corrective Therapy.  I want to support people to live fulfilling, pain-free lives.  Not only do I want to work with patients, I also want pass this valuable knowledge on to others.

To have Muscle Corrective Therapists working all over Australia , and eventually, the world. I have experienced the effectiveness of Muscular Corrective Therapy, having had great success and feedback from my patients.

As a student you will experience your own benefit to your body, as well as gaining the tools necessary to change your patients lives for the better.

My vision for Musclular Corrective Therapy is that it be a household name, and that our students will go out and spread this amazing therapy.  Muscular Corrective Therapy is a new approach for working with tendons, ligament, fascia, soft tissue, deep tissue and cellular memory of muscle fibres, based on a highly successful 4-6 week treatment program.  It also incorporates technology of the machine I chose, which speeds up the healing process.

Upon meeting Rebecca Garbutt, I soon found that Rebecca shared my vision of teaching Musclular Corrective Therapy. Rebecca also wanted to train in this new powerful modality and it is with Rebecca’s passion, encouragement, support and vision, we have gone on to become accredited with VETAB and call the therapy Muscular Corrective Therapy.

I have completed my Senior First Aid and have a Certificate IV in TAE, which are important in running a Registered Training Organisation.   The Parramatta College runs this course.

I trained to work as a Muscular Corrective Therapist with John after my graduation at the College of Nepean Natural Therapeutics in Remedial Massage 1999 where I was Dux of the Blacktown Monday Night Class.

In my time since graduation I also worked at The Parramatta College, teaching introduction Therapeutic Massage and assisting with the teaching of introduction Remedial Massage. My workplace experiences have been:

- Working alongside an Osteopath for 1 year

- 6 years clinical experience and an additional 5 years developing and planning for the Muscle Doctor™ Training Australia Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

- I have been a team member with other clinics over my career as a Remedial Massage Therapist

My passion has led me to develop the training manual from John’s successful treatment program, so that it may be passed on to other Therapists around Australia.

I prepared the requirements for VETAB Accreditation with the support of Judy Duffy of Judy Duffy Training Consultants P/L to allow Muscle Doctor™ Training Australia to be a RTO.

The responsibility of passing on Muscular Corrective Therapy is important to me, so that this knowledge is not lost.  The treatment has provided a highly regarded service to the community. I am seeing people greatly relieved of their pain as a result of John’s dedication and commitment.  John and I both want to spread this therapy & teach new Muscular Corrective Therapists.

John and I envision Muscular Corrective Therapy being a asset in Natural and Complementary Medicine.
